{"id":5111,"date":"2026-02-19T11:07:42","date_gmt":"2026-02-19T10:07:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test.parcanimalierlabarben.com\/animal\/shrikes-of-provence-lpo-paca\/"},"modified":"2026-06-03T18:34:00","modified_gmt":"2026-06-03T16:34:00","slug":"shrikes-of-provence-lpo-paca","status":"publish","type":"animal","link":"https:\/\/test.parcanimalierlabarben.com\/en\/animal\/shrikes-of-provence-lpo-paca\/","title":{"rendered":"Shrikes of Provence &#8211; LPO Paca"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Study programme on the ecology of an endangered species &#8220;at the gates&#8221; of the La Barben Animal Park<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.parcanimalierlabarben.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/logo-lpo-paca.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-241 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.parcanimalierlabarben.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/logo-lpo-paca-217x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"217\" height=\"300\"><\/a>Shrikes are the subject of a National Action Plan (NAP) supported by the DREAL in the Provence-Alpes-C\u00f4te d&#8217;Azur region. Among the four shrike species concerned by this NAP, <strong>the southern shrike, threatened with extinction (status &#8220;vulnerable&#8221;, IUCN 2017),<\/strong> is experiencing a sharp decline in the south of France and Spain. In Provence, most of the numbers of this species are found in the open scrubland of the main limestone massifs.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In partnership with the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis and supported by our park, a study programme has been initiated by <a href=\"https:\/\/paca.lpo.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the PACA League for the Protection of Birds<\/a> on a sector (1350 ha) of the Special Protection Area of the Garrigues de Lan\u00e7on (municipalities of La Barben, Lambesc and P\u00e9lissanne).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This program aims to better understand the ecology of this shrike in relation to the management of its habitat: reproductive phenology, ringing of birds to measure the survival of breeding adults and the recruitment of young birds, impact of work to open up the environment.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are happy to support this ultra-local program since 2022!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":5115,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"categorie-de-fiche":[239],"classe":[],"famille":[],"ordre":[],"zone":[],"class_list":["post-5111","animal","type-animal","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","categorie-de-fiche-conservation"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/test.parcanimalierlabarben.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/animal\/5111","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/test.parcanimalierlabarben.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/animal"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/test.parcanimalierlabarben.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/animal"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/test.parcanimalierlabarben.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/5115"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/test.parcanimalierlabarben.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=5111"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"categorie-de-fiche","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/test.parcanimalierlabarben.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categorie-de-fiche?post=5111"},{"taxonomy":"classe","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/test.parcanimalierlabarben.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/classe?post=5111"},{"taxonomy":"famille","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/test.parcanimalierlabarben.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/famille?post=5111"},{"taxonomy":"ordre","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/test.parcanimalierlabarben.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ordre?post=5111"},{"taxonomy":"zone","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/test.parcanimalierlabarben.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/zone?post=5111"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
