These oryx have elegant markings on their heads, and thin horns that can reach 1.20 meters long! They live in the steppes and semi-desert areas of the Horn of Africa and parts of Tanzania. This is why they have certain adaptations that allow them to minimize water losses. Thus, when it is very hot and there is no water, the body temperature can rise up to 46°C, thus reducing the water lost through perspiration.

Our herd of oryx beisa lives on the African plain, alongside white rhinos, blue wildebeests and ostriches.
