Companion of the Tibetans

The yak is adapted to the Tibetan mountains: up to 6000 meters above sea level, temperatures reaching -40°C. .. Various adaptations allow it to live there, in particular by enduring the lack of oxygen, the cold and the powerful solar rays.

Wild yaks, on the other hand, are only found in a few areas undisturbed by humans, and are considered to be threatened with extinction.
