The emblem of Colombian forests
The great particularity of this little monkey is its way of life: it lives in groups of 2 to 8 individuals composed of a breeding pair and its young but also “immigrant” adults who come to help and learn how to take care of the young, usually twins!
This is essential because the young weigh 20% of their mother’s weight: a single couple would not have the energy to raise them…
As this species is particularly endangered (there are barely 6000 of them left in the wild), we support the work of the “Proyecto Titi” foundation to save them.
