The area dedicated to cassowaries has been enlarged, enriched with two pools and a second park has been set up to accommodate a female cassowary!
It arrived in October from a Portuguese zoo as part of an EEP, European Breeding Program. She and the male are currently separated, as is the case in the wild. It is only during the breeding season that they will be put in contact, hoping that they will like each other… and more if affinities!
