Arrival of Cuvier’s gazelles!

For the past few days, we have been welcoming new residents: Cuvier’s gazelles. They come to us from the African Reserve of Sigean.

The Cuvier’s gazelle is a species native to North Africa (Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia). Classified as vulnerable by the IUCN, its conservation is strictly supervised by an EEP.

Our 4 new boarders are males. We are therefore not intended to receive births but their transfer to us will allow their original reserve to offer the necessary space for the couple to reproduce

This is another facet of the joint work between the zoological parks. Working for the conservation of species is not only about welcoming births, it is also about doing everything possible to facilitate them in other parks
