A new species has arrived at La Barben: red-whiskered gibbons!
A female, who arrived from Mulhouse Zoo, was joined by a male born in a Polish park. We are delighted to introduce you to this species. Gibbons are the smallest of the “large primates”, and are famous for their mode of movement: they swing from branch to branch, it’s brachiation!
They are also characterized by their song, emitted in duets, rather in the morning… Listen carefully when you come!
