New in our aviaries…
Two Pinched Tamarins are taking their first steps in our park. You will easily recognize them thanks to their large white crest, which has nothing to do with their age!
Surprisingly, in this small primate only the dominant pair can reproduce but the young will be educated by the whole group, composed on average of 2 to 8 individuals.
These monkeys must now be protected because the species is critically endangered: only a few hundred individuals still live in Colombia where their natural habitat, the forest, continues to be destroyed by humans… That’s why we support the Proyecto Titi association, which works to protect them!
