Among the hundreds of breeds of sheep, the Karakul sheep is one of the oldest. It is native to Uzbekistan, where the vegetation is desert and water scarce, which is why it has a localized fat reserve… in the queue!
These sheep are bred for their wool, resistant and considered luxurious: the Astrakan.
