Local wildlife – Regional Centre for the Preservation of Wildlife of Buoux
The Regional Centre for the Protection of Wildlife in Buoux is managed by the LPO PACA (League for the Protection of Birds of the PACA Region) and belongs to the Luberon Regional Natural Park.
Created in 1996, its mission is to welcome, care for and reintegrate wildlife in distress into the natural environment. Each year, more than 1500 animals are collected, mainly birds and small mammals, as well as thousands of phone calls managed!
The centre’s team (employees and volunteers) also carries out actions to raise awareness of wildlife in distress (conferences, exhibitions, etc.) and participates in research programmes to improve knowledge of the biology of species.
If you have found an injured wild animal, you will find many advice sheets here .
In addition, a telephone advice unit can help you: 04 65 09 02 20
