A clearly visible bird!

This ibis is easily identifiable by its bright red colour, which nevertheless varies according to the population, the season and the food. Only the tips of its wings are blue-black! It also has a long, curved beak, characteristic of ibises.
It is found in areas where water is present: mangroves, estuaries, swamps, etc.

In La Barben, the scarlet ibises live in an aviary in the company of the Greek tortoises. You will certainly be seduced by their bright color!
