We have the great joy to announce the birth of 4 baby striped hyenas! Born on July 7th, they initially remained well hidden, at the bottom of their den… Now, they explore the outside world, under the watchful eye of their parents!
This is the first litter of our hyenas… And this is a rare birth in zoos, so these young are very valuable for the whole species!
This birth is also a surprise: our female had hidden her pregnancy from us… And the birth occurred while we were in the middle of renovation work on one of the 3 parks available to these animals! The work has therefore been suspended…
