It is with great joy that we announce the birth of 4 little maned wolves!
Less than a year after Jurema’s birth, her first little one, Averna, gave birth to 4 beautiful cubs on January 5th. Well sheltered in their dens, they have grown quickly and now can be seen frolicking in the park. Our veterinarian was able to check their excellent health, microchip and sex them: they are 2 males and 2 females, perfect parity !
To ensure that this happy event goes as smoothly as possible, Jurema has been isolated in another park; It is at this age that young people leave their parents in the wild to establish a new territory and meet a partner… Jurema is expected to go to Lumigny Zoological Parks (Lumigny Safari Reserve) as part of an EEP, a European breeding program.
