The Park team is pleased to announce the first birth of a small white rhinoceros, an emblematic species of the park!
Jahely was born on August 30, 2022 after a gestation period of 16 months. It is now visible to visitors. Due to its young age, it is possible to admire it only during the hottest hours of the day, usually from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., depending on the weather conditions.
Remarkable for its rarity, this birth is the result of a committed breeding project and daily monitoring by our team of veterinarians and animal caretakers.
With fewer than 16,000 individuals in the wild, this species is endangered. Jahely’s arrival is therefore great news for the team and the white rhinos.
The park is also pleased to support the Save The Rhino association for more than 10 years, which works for the conservation of rhinos in their natural environment.
